Pastor Edwards was born and raised in Dayton, OH.  From an early age, his parents had him in church and enrolled him in Christian school. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior when he was 7 years old. He continued to grow up in church and learned the importance of surrendering his life to serve the Lord. He graduated from high school in 1999 and went off to Bible college.

After graduating from Bible college in 2003, he married his high school sweetheart Tonya and started in full time ministry as a youth pastor. Matt & Tonya have been blessed with 4 children--Drew, Emily, Melody, and Annabelle.

On January 10, 2016, Pastor Edwards became the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Sedalia. He is excited about what the Lord is doing here in the church and in the city. He looks forward to many years of service and has a desire to see people come to know Jesus as their Savior and grow in Christ.
